Who can get the Herts Card

Families whose young people get free school meals can get the Herts Card.

Families of children and young people with SEND can also get a Herts Card via our Local Offer

How to get the Herts Card

When you apply for free school meals, you'll be emailed a link to sign up for the card.

If you already get free school meals, we'll be in touch with your link.

How to access and use your card:

  1. Click the link in your 'Herts Card' email to view it.
  2. Check your card has the name of the parent who applied for the free school meal(s) and the correct number of children printed on it. If something's not right, contact us.
  3. Download your card and print it out or save it to your phone.
