  • Change Grow Live (CGL) offers:
    • support with alcohol dependency.
    • an alcohol telecoms service for help via phone or video call.
    • evidence-based treatment interventions, whether you're still using alcohol or you're in early stages of recovery.
    • specialist inpatient detoxification or residential rehabilitation.

 

For over 18s

  • The Living Room offers intensive, daily support for any addictions. Treatments are abstinence-based and follow a structured programme based on the 12-step process, including peer support.
  • Emerging Futures provides support with drug and alcohol needs, helping you maintain your accommodation and avoid homelessness. 
  • Resolve offers structured day programmes, therapy sessions, workshops, and one-to-one support.
  • Druglink offers detox, rehabilitation and recovery services.

 

 

Self help

  • Alcohol Change UK download the free Try Dry® app to support your goals, whether it's for Dry January®, reducing your drinking, or going alcohol-free.

Support for families and carers

If you're worried about someone you know or you're affected by their alcohol use, you can get help and support.

  • Al-Anon UK if you're feeling alone, talk to someone in confidence.
  • Alcohol Change UK provides stress-relief strategies and a list of family support services where you can talk about your feelings.
  • Carers in Hertfordshire can support you if you're looking after someone.
  • Change Grow Live offer an online chat tool for tailored support. Plus, get advice on how to approach tricky conversations.
  • Family lives - Online and phone advice for parents of under 18's.
  • Families anonymous - An online forum for friends and family.
  • Herts Young Homeless mediation service can help you reconnect with someone under 24.
  • The Living Room run groups where you can share your experience, get non-judgmental support and practical advice for dealing with addiction.
