Finding digital solutions to life's offline challenges for families and children with SEND.
"The Local Offer" – that's what councils call their collated information, services and activities for young people with special educational needs, and their families.
It's created by parents and professionals together.
But we haven't got it quite right yet.
To get it right, we've gathered a small but driven and curious team.
What we're going to do...
We're aiming to make things quicker and easier for people whose lives are already complex enough.
The last thing parents of children with SEND need is having to whip out their Dictionary of Government Gobbledygook every time they need a bit of help.
So we're starting with the most important people – the parents and families. Asking them questions.
- What do they do?
- What makes them tick?
- What's a typical day?
- Is there such a thing as a "typical day?"
It's not about the website or technology, really.
It's about making life a little easier.
That's why we came up with the mission statement:
Finding digital solutions to life's offline challenges for families and children with SEND.
Standby for more blogs on exactly how we're going about it.
